And, if you read the email that was sent out - it says very specifically on what dates you can expect to receive the funds via direct deposit: 26th.

That's more encouraging than Google's "oh, sometime at the end of the month" approach.

Even the toughest critics including me applaud YPN for taking this incredible step to catch up to Adsense.

Amazing news. Now, let us see innovative features such as geo-targeting.

Good job YPN.

Same as you Security56. It's the exact same way with the social security number, so I figure there isn't a problem they just do it for security/privacy reasons.

Nice going YPN! This is great.

In regards to the question of the info not showing up after you save it, it does that I believe for security reasons.

The bank number, routing number and fields on the tax information screen doesn't reappear after you save it.

My suggestion to YPN to make this less confusing is to show the last 3 digits of the field but asterisk the rest. That way we know something is stored and not completely missing. Online banking portals take this approach so that the customer can identify the data and know it exists.

Google pays me at the 28th sharp every month!

Brilliant UI there YPN, way to go! On the one hand you implement a good feature, direct deposit, OTOH you manage to implement it the most retarded way imaginable, by not providing any feedback to users to let them know their information has been stored.

Sometimes I wonder about the Einsteins who work there.

I think the better way for the SS number would be to show the first 3, not the last 3. The first 3 digits of the SS number actually identifies the state you were born in. Each state has only a few first three numbers and I believe it is randomly selected for each person.

Google pays me at the 28th sharp every month!

Yet, they won't be accountable enough to state as such.

My direct deposit has varying dates, from the 24rd to the 29th. When it comes to financial matters, people want exact dates, and in that regard, Yahoo appear to be providing more accurate accountability in this case.

I have no doubts whatsoever about Google's trustworthiness, but I would like to see them match the YPN system by providing an exact date on which publishers might expect to see funds transfers (or at least "payment approved" notices).

Regardless, the bottom line is: congratulations to the YPN team for listening to the publishers and implementing Direct Deposit.

Noticed a message today that stated they verified EIN / SSN number...feels like things are really rolling and I so much appreciate that they are letting us know every step of the way!

I know the Direct Deposit will happen next month, but a part of me is hoping it will be implemented this month as a surprise :)

Nice move, I can really see that they are reading the forums. They just don't always post a response to what we say.

another message posted on YPN portal,

April balances will be calculated and checks will be sent out June 25, 2006 to qualified publishers. APRILíS EARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED BY CHECK ONLY. If youíve signed up for direct deposit your May earnings will be deposited directly to your bank account by June 26. Please note: In order to receive a check, you must accrue $100 in your available balance.

This message doesnt make any sense to me. :(
