Placing a Hold on Payments

Is it possible?

Is it possible to put a hold on payments for YPN checks? I have looked around and haven't found anything about this on their site.

Can't you cancel the check through your bank?

Funny you should mention this, I was just wondering this myself last night. After changing most of the site over to YPN the check will be MUCH larger and I'm wondering if I'll get a hold.

I remember when we were depositing Adsense checks there was a hold over a certain amount, and they wouldn't even cash them if you walked into the bank on the Google check. Finally after a few times my bank just decided to allow them to go through. Not sure if there will be a hold up on the new "Yahoo" income though.

Not exactly what I was asking, :-P

I'm moving soon, and won't have my new address in time for the next check, so I would rather put a 'hold' on the money, so when July comes around I will get paid for both months.

Also, sent another mail to YPN, probably 6th or 7th one I've ever sent to them... never got an answer on any.

Sounds as if you needed to find a new bank! LOL

Did you ask your banker if he knew what "Google" was?

I meant Googles bank...the bank on the Google check! Citibank (I think it was) would not even cash a Google check. They would also put a hold because it was a different branch. I'm in CA, different city.

Oh - did you have an account with Citibank? If not, thats probably why they soured on you...

I recall I would surprize the bank teller when I walked in with checks from Google, Hotels.com and Lodging.com to deposit in my account. Google and Hotels are both on Direct Deposit now. Shareasale and Linkshare have D.D. also.

The people at Y! need to get that Direct Deposit thing going next...

You need ot submit a cahnge of address to your post office and it own't be a problem. This is your issues not Yahoo's. Why the heck would you want them holding onto your money any longer with them earning interest? This is short-sighted IMO.

To be more specific, although I don't think it is needed, but to humor you, I am leaving on June 3rd for 10 days before getting an apartment on June 13th. The check would probably arrive around the 7th or 8th in June. Therefore, no address to tell YPN what to send it to as I won't have one.

I do have a solution, I will just have them send the check to my parents then they can fedex it to me, however, this is something YPN really needs to do something about as there are probably many who are in the same situation. Or if they aren't now, will probably be in sometime or another as if they were on vacation, moving, etc.
