Do you see targeting improvement?

Has the targeting improved?

Hey guys,

Those of you who test YPN, do you see some improvement? Do you see targeting improvement?

Let's post here any improvement that we see. Let's post here the positive and improvements.

Thank you.

I notice my ads tend to swing in and out of target. One day my ads are perfectly targetted to both topic and the location of my topic (Widget in a City during a Season). The next day, though, my ads are back to generic vonage, credit card and refinance.

YPN's inventory and targetting look promising, if it were a little more consistent I'd be thrilled, but I am sure that will come.

I am running YPN as an alternative to Adsense. But with Firefox Mozila and Opera where Adsense can't show anything YPN shows the blunt code, no ads. Not even untargeted.

I think YPN should work on on Mozila and Opera.

Thank you.

Erku-

You're implementing the code incorrectly if it's not showing up in Mozilla.. YPN and Adsense code (for everyone else) works equally fine any all browsers that are javascript capable.

I doubt my web developer users are interested in a herpes dating club.

I don't think herpes discriminates dave b ;). Interestingly my users would be interested in such a service yet I get ads for vonage and comcast, things web developers would be interested in...want to trade accounts?

can't you just use the targeting feature? say your content is about cars, are you able to select ads about dating if you wanted?

I should have phrased it differently. Lets say users do not come to my site looking for info on that topic.

I added Y to about 25 pages today. I got targeted ads within 30 seconds on all but about 3 pages.

Also, I never get vonage, lending tree etc ads - I blocked them and now blank space shows. I think I prefer the blank space. Also, if there are only one or two ads available in a 4 ad block then it will show them centered vertically.

I'm still experiencing some problems with no ads showing occasionally until refresh button is hit.

They told me in response to this that we are in 'beta'. But the most basic concept they need to get right is to be able to show ads. Targeting doesn't matter if no ads show! Not showing any ads means they are still in 'alpha' (like I tell my clients about my programs :)

<added>
ps. can you sticky my the link to that herpes dating club.
