these are valid IP #'s
24.128.0.0 - 24.128.255.255
whether they are apllicable to Dazz's original inquiry ? Only those specidfic IP's woukld verify that.
You'll note the lack of log file entries...if it was 'googlebot' 'slurp' or even the now defunct(?) architext or sidewinder, it would show up in a few more logs than that.
thought according to the date on the first and second entry, somebody's been using that bot name for a bit. However, given that we're about search engine spider identification in the forum, I think we can clearly say it's nothing to waste your time about.
If it bothers your site, I'd put it in your .htaccess file :) that's where AV and Ink are for me right now...waste of bandwidth.

Now that you've posted the IP, you might search for that in Google, too. there are no entries for that one :)
For instance this bot has been crawling one of my sites :
cosmos/0.9_(robot@xyleme.com)
I have emailed the webmaster at xyleme to ask why this bot is crawling my site and using my bandwidth, I am yet to receive a response.
oh well
merry xmas :)

a net search @ Arin on both
net 24.60
net 24.61
obtains NO sub numbers assigned to websites.
These are AT&T users.
Since they fail to idenmtify themselves I would add then to your htaccess for that reason. Iwould go a little farther than
24.60.186.168
and use
deny from 24.60.186.
