I had a single page today which only read robots.

What makes the UA strange is that rather than the UA being contained in single quotes?

It is contained in double quotes?

Even more strange is that between the leading UA quotes these is the a single escape character, such as we use.

Any body have a clue how to rewrite such a thing?

Would it be?
\"\\

for begins with "\

Thanks in advance

Yes, Don, I think you have the right idea.

Well rather than a strange UA, I noticed something similar strange in a request.

201.0.61.### - - [04/Sep/2005:11:06:41 +1200] "POST /meijer.htm\"/xmlrpc.php HTTP/1.1" 404 626 "-" "-"

thanks graff.

My vistitor was from a North American University.
I didn't list the IP.

When the forum was in it's day and had much activity their were many orgs and bots reading here as well.

It seems the forum has regained some momemtum and rather than providing an insight for the bot to repair it's error of ID, I thought it best to just provide the UA
explanation :)
