Tecomi Bot?

Anyone ever heard of this one? Showed up in logs from yesterday. Checked the three major search engines but no info there. It's a RIPE IP:

213.182.104.83 - - [09/Aug/2005:16:41:32 -0700] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 200 11892 "-" "Tecomi Bot"

Haven't seen it here. Can you report on it's behavior? Robots.txt, rate of requests, etc?

This was the only other entry I have seen:

That's the user agent which visited my sites last week.

The page in the URL is 404.

The site itself is under development.

It did read robots.txt. But that's all it read so I can't tell you about its behavior yet.

The IP Address in my case was 84.201.64.219. All the IP Addresses mentioned so far belong to the same German ISP.

Thanks for the info GaryK. It apparently wasn't doing anything harmful, but it's very rare that I can't track down the source one way or another. Just plain curiosity.
