Does anybody know if this is a valid googlebot?

It appears your User Agent string was cut off, but it does appear to be a valid Google User Agent that they have used recently.

thanks. well thats good news, my first thought was that somebody has spoofed it... but the ip was from google.

PS: is there any place we can contribute and view spider footprints in a more centralized way?

(i think my application cut it off short, i have to make the DB field bigger)

Contributing is the format of this forum :)
Many newcomers neglect the archives (site search) because they are difficult to view.
Many long-term participants fail to mark good threads for reference.

Others make efforts far above and beyond the call.

All your required to do is determine where you fit in and how much time you have :)
