Could that be Yahoo! (hand)checking to see if the site is cloaking anything special to mediabot?

Could be a spammy SEO sending me a message that they can such down my site, which they have done before, and I can't do anything about it. But their 'treeing up the wrong bark' ;-)) and adding traffic to my site :-)

Ok, here is some more information…

Note that page #*$!.html contains adsense ads.

I had a visitor from bff204.search.dcn.yahoo.com (216.155.200.234)
with a referrer from babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr
and a UA of Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; FDM)
that visited my page xxx.html

the very next entry was visitor had no referrer
from bff204.search.dcn.yahoo.com (216.155.200.234)
with a UA of Mediapartners-Google/2.1
that visited my page xxx.html

Ah ha!

So it could be the Mediaptners-Google/2.1 agent viewing the page through the Babelfish translator proxy?

Interesting, very interesting!
