msnbot/0.3 hits the street

UA version apparently skipped from 0.11 to 0.3

Spotted in the logs today:

207.46.98.45 - - [20/Oct/2004:23:39:24 -0400] "GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.0" 200 2128 "-" "msnbot/0.3 (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)"

Either I missed something, or they've skipped directly from msnbot/0.11 to msnbot/0.3

Another step along the way to more competition in top-tier search...

I don't have that much respect for the expertise of the individual who wrote Microsoft's bot. It does not use 304s and it does not seem to be a player on the same level as Google.

Been through two day ago, but I didn't see it. :)

I should note that all requests this week were from this particular IP Number.
