Google Newsbot User Agent

Does it have its own, or come from specific IP range?

Does anyone know where / hoe Google's newsbotis configured?

I have a few sites that could / do qualify as news sites, and being able to tell the frequency of newsbot crawls would (obviously) be useful information to have.

If this Googlebot doesn't have a unique UA, does anyone know if such requests originate from a specific IP range?

I was under the impression that Google just uses results from its regular bots to create Google News.
