The Search Engine Spider Identification forum was long the favorite of some.

We shut it down at the time because there was only a couple engines to deal with and the hassle factor was quite high.

A Couple of Notes:
* forum is premoderated. All threads will have to be approved.
* please do not post random ip's if you dont' necc know what you are looking. (eg: we will edit out any ips that look like they may be a simple user. We aren't here to be used as a platform for low-rent-ddos attacks)

With that, please welcome Volatilegx as the new moderator! Thanks D.

I'd like to thank Brett for re-opening this (my all-time favorite WebmasterWorld) forum, and for the opportunity to moderate it.

Welcome back, everybody!

I hope people will post their suspected spiders here, and take the time to answer questions posted by others.

Very good decision, and good to see volatilegx at the helm. This is an amazing resource here at WebmasterWorld for researching rogue traffic.

While looking for this forum (needed to find an old thread), was surprised to see this back open. Nice one Brett.
