I've tired of the perpetual deception and continuing introduction of new methods.

131.107.3.91 - - [13/Sep/2003:20:07:08 -0700] "GET /mypage.html HTTP/1.0" 200 14053 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.0; Windows NT; ....../1.0 )"
207.46.225.251 - - [13/Sep/2003:20:07:16 -0700] "GET /myimage.gif HTTP/1.0" 200 2233 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.0; Windows NT; ....../1.0 )"

Came in on a very obcsure page (three folders deep) and began crawling upwards.

Please not the STRANGE end to the UA.

And no robots.txt either? I can't remember if they hit robots the last time around (last spring?). I wish they'd do their trial and error experiments on their own web pages before turning these ideas loose. Why do they do that, anyway? Is it a whim? Or is someone under pressure to get a search engine going? I don't know.
