The spider is green. Long, thin legs. Location: On outer wall of house, located in west-central florida, adjacent to oak-pine woods. Overall size: Approx. the size of a half-dollar incl. legs. Abdomen shape: long and narrow.
Please help me identify it. Or steer me to a publication that would help. Overall: About the size and shape of a golden silk spider, but bright green in color.

Hi irvseykat,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld,

Unfortunatly, the kind of spiders we try to identify on this board are not alive. They are computer programs used by search engines. We call them Spiders, because they crawl the Web...

I found this place [140.211.62.101] maybe they can help better than us.

Good luck with your creepy crawler. ;)

This looks like a good place as any to post my arrival. Seems I need to post at least once in the next 30 days or start all over. I'm too tired to do that.

Hi folks, I'm just looking around here, trying to figure out how my site can be made better, and how I can protect it from the nefarious neer-do-wells lurking around.

I appreciate the opportunity.

Welcome to Webmasterworld grandpa.

Just ask for general info or things specific to your site (just don't mention your url). There is always somebody around ready to help.
