Update on boitho.com-robot/1.1

Possible UA fake

Found this odd in my logs today. Previous posting referred below references this robot, but a totally different ip range.

Hi cyberkat

I am chief programmer at boitho.com.

The IP 80.202.212.14 is an ADSL line in Norway, and was used for the development server.

We have now moved to production, and are using IPs 217.118.38.226 - 217.118.38.234 (did use IPs 217.118.38.218 - 217.118.38.226 for a few days) for our crawling cluster.

IKT Interactive AS is the hosting/colo company in Norway that hosts our servers.

I am getting a 406 "not acceptable" error on boitho.com / www.boitho.com with ie6 but the site is doing fine with ns7

Is it a search engine or a class in the Norwegian language? I search, or click on links, in English but get results in Norwegian. My site was recently crawled. About how long to inclusion?

That is an apache problem in the handling of multi language pages, if we don’t have your language you are supposed to get English, but instead Apache generates a 406 error. We are working on a fix.

You probably have English as preferred language in ns7, sow that is why this don’t appear to be a problem, you just get the English page.

It is at "full text" search engine, which will cover the most of the web when it is finish.

That is odd, you are suppose to get the results in English, like this:

What is online now are more a test of the interface, then a working search engine.

Funny little search engine - as yet no results returned for the searches I do on boitho.com - but according to my logs - it goes for my robots.txt file - then straight onto my contact form - it submits it - then appears to do nothing else!
