Over the past few days I've had referrals from some sites which perhaps existed and I wasn't aware of them?

Vivisimo although they provide a search engine, their site offers a collection of document retrieval and joining of shared resources as related to local database services and softwares to third party's as customers :(

Lukol a parallel web search provides PR's of each parallel SE result below the serp. Quite unique IMO.

Also had a solitary visit on two sites of one of those monitoring services so named "Kevin"

Wilderness,

Vivisimo's OK, actually quite useful with the clustering feature - I actually get a little traffic from them.

Lukol reminds of Ixquick metasearch in that they both indicate the ranking of the site in the various search engines' results. A quick way to check how your site is doing without visiting each search site individually.

I suppose "Kevin" is as useful as some of our other favorite user-agents... At least it's a short ua string...

Vivisimo's OK,

Jim
Did yiu take a look at their pages: product solutions however especially, Content Integrator?

I like the PR when looking at my pages. Haven't had a chance to test it for some serps which result in many pages to see how the return quality would be.

Er! Ah!
It was ;)

Don:

That is a fun little SE. And pretty darn up-to-date. It shows changes I have made to my main page in the last week!

Don,

Yes, I don't see any difference between that and any other Meta-search engine (from my viewpoint as a webmaster).
... And they send me some traffic, so I get something out of it. :)
