I tried going to netnose.com but was asked for a password when I got there. Searching for NetNose on Google brought up some confusing results.

A forum search here for "NetNose" turned up no results although Google had a listing for this: [webmasterworld.com...]

I was unable to post a reply to that thread.

Well, volatilegx it can't be log spamming with the sign-in requirement. Er, at least I wouldn't think so.

It certainly is odd behaviour and sounds like one to add to the ban list.

Either one to add to the ban list or a new SE in development stages.

If it was the latter I would have though that they would have had some info about the project on the page instead of a log in.

Looks like it could be good -or- bad depending on who is using it.

For me, I deny until I know better on something like this. My TOS denies bots of all kinds... unless they request access or I decide I want them in.

wilderness, that project on sourceforge.net appears to be unrelated.

My take on this is that it's a new search engine in the research and development phase. I'm not going to be banning it at this time.
