Windows NT 5.2?

I wasn't aware of this type of browser...

I was looking through our site logs just now... discovered this:

Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.2;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322)

It came from 131.107.65.225.

Any info?

Adding a couple of things... here's the server logs from the two visits I have had so far...

2003-04-07 12:06:24 131.107.65.225 - 192.168.20.11 80 GET /products/plus_literature.aspx - 200 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.2;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322)

Its important to note that it ONLY requested the page, not any graphics that were on that page...

I'm highly suspicious of this visitor...

I have been tracking this stuff for a long time and I've Never seen NT 5.2

Yeah, I just found that thread again... 5.0 is Win2K and 5.1 is WinXP. So you've got yourself a fake ua there...

No, it's not a fake. In fact it was probably me.

Win NT 5.2 is the new .NET server (currently available as a releace candidate for we OS saddos to test for nothing)

Win XP is NT 5.1 or 5.11

Imagine this: an ARIN search on this IP returns:

the fact that this person only got the page and not the graphics could simply be due to a rubbish connection (again, could have been me!). Or can you still turn graphics off in IE 6?

Um, just that NT 5.2 (or .NET Server) is the successor to Windows 2000. It's released in April, but some users have test copies alreadyand have done for nearly a year.

If you're interested, it's a pretty good OS - XP without all the graphic sparkly bits.

Like I say, there are genuine explanations for a user getting just the page and not the graphics. The Microsoft address looks a bit odd, but, well, I wouldn't get too paranoid yet.

OK, So another MS product to add to the list...

Windows NT 5.0 = Win2K
Windows NT 5.1x = XP
Windows NT 5.2 = Win.Net server
