I'm falling behind my schedule :-)
Beaten by a new user.

deny from 168.100.
entire domain.
Providing their name and UA only does what thet desired in the first place.

I could be wrong, but I was thinking that 168.100 was just the ISP for the log spammer. And I didn't see any negative listings for the ISP on openrbl.org. That's why I only banned the actual offending IP. As far as the log spammer's name and UA, I doubt that it was their desire to be banned by name for spamming. Personally, I don't do any business with spammer's of any kind.

Is it preferable to not post about log spammer's here, or is one of the other forums more suitable?

Oh, and a little about me, I'm a new user here, but I've been analyzing logs for about a year, and I've been tracking down and reporting email spammers for many years.

Jazzguy,
My apologies.
It was never my intention to convey that you were associated with them in ANY WAY.

The entire IP range is owned by a consulting company. Although I didn't look at their website, that a consulting firm supports such a user is enough reason for me to deny their entire range.

Although I've seen some instances here of log spammers it's not a real real priority in this section.
Brett can tell you more about the policies here.

I only participate in this section and occassionally visit 3-4 others without participation.

Hi Wilderness,
No apologies necessary, I didn't think you were implying my involvement. I just wanted to clarify what I posted.

And it looks like Brett answered my question over in my original thread. There are so many incidents of log spamming that it's not worth it to point them all out.
