page rank and google crawler

Ok, you've all probably chatted about this before, but im new to this game and I need some help, ive a small site that im trying to get ranked and I think ive done ok, main page is on page 1 no 6 (sorry guys dont know your speak yet) ive been on this page for a while gradually moving up, started on page 3 then jumped 10 spaces, then 12 now im on page 1 but that seems to be it page 1 no 6, it wont move no more, what can I do to budge it up a bit more, ive plenty of links, but... anyone? and when does the deep crawl happen?

There may be varying opinions on page ranking.
I personally don't use "any" of the page ranking resources available.
I'm more intersted in how my pages return based on searchs which are relevant to the content of my pages. At least that was my goal when I started. These days it's a matter of routine to create subject related pages which (as a result of learning) nearly have automatic results with higher search results.

It's just a matter of finding a glitch for your content. Should your pages be the of a general content gaining higher SE returns would be more difficult as comapred to a specifc subject line.

what "keyword/s" is that for?

naturally you should be getting visitors from more than 1 keyword, and hey #6 is not bad at all (depending how many other results are returned for the word/s)

Hi, yeah thats for health and safety consultants (keyword) ive others h & s regulation, manual handling training but the main page is now just sticking.

Louise, try and build more pages that target different search phrases its a lot better to rank on many different phrases than just one or two.

Position 6 is pretty good so I wouldn't worry about that one too much, as you build a larger better site more people will link to you and all your pages should naturally get better ranks.

Thanks for guidance, Ive pages representing each of my keywords and they are slowly moving up, but why are the rankings different from uk to web on some of them? on good ranks in uk ive usually go to go 6 or 7 deep to find them on web.

Do you check the UK results button? if you do, that only shows UK websites, so there is less competition, therefore you will rank higher.

No, I always do uk first then web ive ok rankings on web but could do better.

just waiting now for google to do its thang! see what happens.
