I've had portions of RR denied for some time. Yet the ranges continue to grow as RR grows. There was a time when RR was primarily the east coast. That has changed and they offer services in many areas. SouthWest, West etc.
Besides RR having its own bot you'll also get spidering from T-h-u-n-d-e-r-s-t-o-n-e under the same ranges. As well as a host of private users with a variety of their own tools.
RR like many other providers is in the bandwidth volume business. With little regard for compliance with webmasters TOS.
Their lack of regard is one denial that I truly regret as their is much interest by the majority of RR users in the content of my websites.
