What did it do on your site?
Did it obey robots.txt?
More than one request per second?
Most site downloaders don't bother with robots.txt, but without any more info, it's hard to tell.
You may have been the first to see it, so what'd it do?

The site at [nic.ad.jp...] does have a search box at the top, but the results pages are Japanese and meant nothing to me. Could it just be the SE bot for their own index?
No - I've just tried it with more sensible queries and it's a site search box. Duh...
