Just checked through my logs and came across these two beasties; (I have a few more examples if anyone need extras)

61.78.61.176 on 05.10.2002 10:12:38
User-Agent: dloader(NaverRobot)/1.0
From: robot[at]naver.co.jp

202.234.172.74 on 03.11.2002 11:34:47
User-Agent: nabot
From: webmaste[at]naver.co.jp

The IP's are Japanese & Korean FWIW

Basically I'm curious (I emailed the contacts just before I posed this), I'm still seeing each bot (so one is not here to replace the other) but since they are both from the same source, what do they actually do?

<added>Both those addresses bounce, trying webmaster</added>

Tony, here's some info on naver - looks like it's coming from a Corean SE.

Naver [naver.co.jp] has run a legitimate portal in Japan since the year 2000 or so. They aren't a huge traffic driver for me.

Here's an older UA for Naver

User-Agent
nabot_1.0
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; nabot 1.0; rotty[at]naver.com)
