Sorry for cryptic email address - I don't particularly want it to be harvested by someone's robot.
The new search technology will, in due course, be available on-line for beta testing. Anyone interested in evaluating and contributing should also email me at the address given.
Please note that the current test runs are only a few million domains in scope. If you don't see the experimental software reading your site, please don't panic. It should be present in the full index which we'll be generating next.
Many thanks and best regards to all,

could you enlighten me as to what this is as i am new to this stuff
thx
As caine rightly points out, the activity that you're seeing in your log files reflects tests being carried out here at Mirago with our new robot and search systems.
We are currently generating some quite large UK indexes for beta test purposes. I spoke to numerous people at the conference who, almost without exception, are interested in helping to evaluate and contribute to the new systems. If you'd like to join them, send me an email to the address show in my original post at the top of this thread.
