Greetings,

We (Mirago) are currently testing new robot and indexing technology.

If you see any errant entries in your web server logs relating to ExperimentalHenryTheMiragoRobot, please let us know by posting here. Alternatively feel free to email me via:

derek (dot) preston (atsign) mirago (dot) com

Sorry for cryptic email address - I don't particularly want it to be harvested by someone's robot.

The new search technology will, in due course, be available on-line for beta testing. Anyone interested in evaluating and contributing should also email me at the address given.

Please note that the current test runs are only a few million domains in scope. If you don't see the experimental software reading your site, please don't panic. It should be present in the full index which we'll be generating next.

Many thanks and best regards to all,

Derek J. Preston

Derek,

Thanks for the heads-up!

Members who post in this subtopic are quite likely to understand your desire to avoid spambots,
since e-mail harvester avoidance is what brings many of us here.

Looking forward to meeting ExperimentalHenry,
Jim

Greetings,

Henry (experimental) is now running at full speed generating a complete set of UK indexes. Hopefully in two or three weeks time, we'll be putting a beta site live with the new indexes.

Best regards

From talking to Derek, at the Webmasterworld Pubconference, on behalf of his company Mirago, is developing a new algo, in which him and his team are playing around with x no. of variables and variable weighting issues, to get more relevant SERPs for visitors.

Greetings MysterE,

As caine rightly points out, the activity that you're seeing in your log files reflects tests being carried out here at Mirago with our new robot and search systems.

We are currently generating some quite large UK indexes for beta test purposes. I spoke to numerous people at the conference who, almost without exception, are interested in helping to evaluate and contribute to the new systems. If you'd like to join them, send me an email to the address show in my original post at the top of this thread.

Best regards,
