Inktomi Hosts

Any info on Inktomi identification?

I have created a PHP script that reads the host visiting the site and searches it for the string "inktomi". If the string is found then it will display a SE page, otherwise the human page is sent.

For some reason this is not working out for me. Does Inktomi have a way around this? Are there better methods? I have tried IP and UA cloaking with no luck.

I'd have thought this would work most of the time, as (mostly) the word inktomi is in the hostname. However, I'm not sure about whether you can look up hostnames fast enough to do this quickly...

Also, I've had som e spiders from inktomi (in inktomi blocks) in which I haven't been able to locate a useful hostname.
