I did a search on WebmasterWorld and didn't come up with anything on this "Libby" UA:

64.124.124.31 - - [01/Jul/2002:07:23:10 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 403 1673 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"
64.124.124.31 - - [01/Jul/2002:07:23:11 -0400] "GET /index.html HTTP/1.0" 403 1673 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"
64.124.124.31 - - [01/Jul/2002:07:23:11 -0400] "GET /index.htm HTTP/1.0" 403 1673 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"
64.124.124.31 - - [01/Jul/2002:07:23:11 -0400] "GET /index.cgi HTTP/1.0" 403 1673 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"
64.124.124.31 - - [01/Jul/2002:07:23:11 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 403 1673 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"

Libby wanted in pretty bad (see variations of index files requested). But I don't know Libby very well, so Libby didn't get in. I'm leery of libwww-perl requests, since a lot of data mining UA's use it, so I've banned unknown libwww-perl requests all together.

Anyone have the scoop on Libby?

Aha. I think Libby may be from about.com. Doing tracert - on the 12th hop shows:

12 208.185.39.213.about.com (208.185.39.213) 88.999 ms 89.205 ms 89.239 ms

Must be a link verifier - as it only visited two sites which are both listed at about.com. Perhaps I should let Libby in.

hey girl,
I was also visited by another about recently:

207.241.148.39 - - [27/Jun/2002:15:06:39 -0700] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 206 101 "-" "Libby_1.1/libwww-perl/5.47"
ABOUT.COM/PRIMEDIA (NETBLK-ABOUT-COM-BLK2)

The one you have, this one and their standard 209.something makes three from about.
They have recently implemented an Inktomi search and listing option into their web pages.
