I am having the hardest time getting my flash files to load on my hosting server.

In short...

I create the flash files the same way I have for years (althought never personally uploaded onto a server) and once I attempt to view the page, only the html aspects show up and a white box that represents the flash, size, shape, etc.

in dreamweaver, i created a site, index.htm file, and all .swf and .fla files that are associated with the site, then "upped" the managed site (successfully connecting to server) and the only thing that appears is the html components.

I really dont want replies with tutorials or faq's, cause quite frankly, I have just double checked all of my books and lynda.com tutorials and could not find anything. I really need someone that knows the details of hosting full flash sites.

thank you kindly

make sure the flash file (the .swf) is in the same location as it was on your local machine.

ie.
if you had folders like

myProject
-> flash

make sure they are the same on the server (ie the flash is one sub-directory below myProject folder.

Or if they are in the same folder (html and flash) make sure the .swf and the html are in the same folder.

thats all you really need to remember with uploading a flash movie to a server. All thats needed is the .swf and the .html files.
