I am not an expert in flash. A couple of days back I created a demo of our new login system in flash and the resultant swf was 771 kb. I want to convert it into mpeg. The problem that I am facing is if I convert it to avi and then into mpeg the size is getting bigger and also I am not getting the best quality.

Please help ..

Thanks mate for the much needed help but it didnt solve my problem. When I am converting my 771 kb .swf file I am getting a .mpeg file but its a blank file. In addition to a mpeg file I am also getting these files .. TFR202.tmp and TFR203.tmp. Can you suggest anything?

There are several other Flash to Video converter. Look around for the best one for your purposes.

The temp files probably means that the program has not finished rendering the Flash and is stocking temporary files. Are you sure the conversion was finished before you opened the file? It's not an instant process.

As for File size anytime you convert to Mpeg or other video format, you can be assured that the file size will increase. For the display resolution, it's up to you to decide what is a good compression level for your video when you set up the conversion.

In most software, there are multiple things to configure to get the best results, such as multipass, using a specific codec and so on. Just don't click the convert button without tweaking and testing. Make multiple tests.

Thanks Harry for your valuable suggestions and I feel I have lots to search, learn, test, spend sleepless nights before I become a pro :) I can assure you that I am trying the same way but sometimes I get hung up (as in this case)

Yeah I am confident that the process was over and nothing was left.

Thanks again

Why not just use the export option and export it directly to your chosen video format?

I didnt find any option to export the swf to mpeg in my Flash MX. The ones that I found are avi, wmv, emf, etc. Is the mpeg option available in any of the Flash versions? Please let me know.

Thanks,
