on a couple of my web pages i have several flash buttons for previewing music, this makes the page load slower. what can i do to improve the loading time?

simple flash buttons for on/off music should be virtually no size, so either they are coded/optimised badly or you need to look at other areas of your page, convert to XHTML etc.

It's probably loading the music itself that takes the time.
You can try reducing the sound quality of your mp3s to save on load time. Play around with bit rate, sample rate, channels, stereo mode until you're happy with the mix of quality and file size.
