Does Flash blocking/disabling concern you?

How widespread is this?

I use a Flash disabler because I got sick of websites with never-ending looped Flash ads (it also disables/stops animated GIF ads from repeating forever).

Is this a concern? I've noticed that some websites on which the Flash ads are disabled that I get GIF ads, instead. I've also noticed that some websites with Flash features an navigation are rendered useless by the Flash blocker.

I think all people should expect this. Just as people who use popups legitimately should expect them to be blocked. There should be some way to get around this any way so people and spiders who cannot see flash will be able to use the site anyway.

I was on a flash site today for an international designer clothes firm.
Flash everywhere, very impressive, when it eventually downloaded that is.

All I wanted was a list of stockists to see where I could buy their gear - sadly not available!
All the money on a site that does not even tell you the basics!

Usually I just back click when I see flash - many others must do the same, that surely is the biggest problem

Weather.com is real bad and cnn.com is getting there as well. I use weather.com all the time and I use the flash blocker but that doesn't seem to stop them from coming.
