Question on Flash Audio Serving

I am creating a web site that must play streaming audio (songs). I don't want MP3 files merely downloaded, or played while downloaded. From my research so far, it seems that creating Flash (swf) files, and using a simple Flash player, is the best bet. I see lots of music sites do it this way.

Assuming Flash is the best option, I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. I do not own Macromedia Flash, nor know how to use it. However, I see there are programs out there that will convert an MP3 to SWF format, and there are some players out there whose html can be easily placed in a web page to offer an embedded player.

My problem is that I'd really like to make sure I don't get the wrong products and do this right from the start. I want something that is pretty much the standard, the best. I don't mind paying for it, does not have to be freeware.

Any ideas.

there are a lot of flash based mp3 players out there, embed one into an HTML file and call MP3's into it via XML.

Just google it.....

I've seen the MP3 audio players. But, it seems that Flash (swf) streaming files are better for proprietary music streaming. It's difficult to find many swf players.

soundnails is one possibility, maybe I am missing something but flash can stream external mp3's quite easily... so what exactly are the benefits of doing it this way?

Thanks everyone. SoundNails looks pretty good.

Also found Fun SoundPlayer Maker (http://www.funsoundplayer.com) for $15.
