I have officially contracted "creativity block" I have a software site for engineers, on the index page I have a image that is basiclly a background that is blue and than fades to the right. I am looking for some ideas for flash animation. Any help would be great!

not sure if i understand but how about a scan line going from left to right that draws the background as it floats across..

why don't you go watch some movie trailers, play some of the latest video games or watch some MTV.
There are some great graphic elements in all of them and maybe something will inspire you.
