I purchased some web templates, which include Flash fla and swf files. The animations include generic company names and other text items. Evidently you are supposed to edit the fla files with your own text, then recompile them into swf files. I assume this is a quick, easy process...if you have the proper software.

I do not have Macromedia Flash, and haven't found any alternates in the freeware and shareware listings. Can anyone here recommend an individual or company who might do the text changes?

Thanks!

Tera, if you know of a bit of freeware that edits .fla files, then I don't think the mods mind your suggesting it (non-profit and all that), and I am interested to know what it is?

I can help you if you'd like to contact me and let's see what you have. Should be a fairly easy thing to accomplish! I am not aware of any apps that allow you to "edit" FLA files other than Flash itself. There is a program that will extract from a SWF file and make it a FLA, but that's not what you need.

Regards

Off the subject a bit, but I searched for "fla freeware" on google, and this particular post came up 4th on the list. Bet you'd never thought that an innocent little post would end up in the top 10 results worldwide? Roll on WebmasterWorld

Probably easiest way would be to download a trial version of Flash from Macromedia:

[macromedia.com...]
