I want to create a shockwave media file that plays audio, what software would I need in order to accomplish this?

Director can create Shockwave. Why would you prefer Shockwave over Flash?

Well then how do I apply audio to a flash file?

For example, I want to create a presentation with an audio recorded voice which explains the presentation from one step to the other. How would I go about doing this?

The Flash help files and tutorials demonstrate how to import audio, start it, stop it - you can even meter it out so can start and stop at a given point. Basically you import it like any other asset into the library.

There's also some controls within Flash to apply filters to audio, such as volume, etc. I'm **pretty sure** it has to be in .wav format, as Flash exports it's own .mpg. That's not really a problem, just re-save it from an editor like GoldWave. Sorry to be so sketchy, been a month or two since I played with audio.

Thanks. I'll have to try that. :)
