loadVars problem in mozilla

I cannot figure out what is causing this problem. I am loading variables (with loadVars.load) from a php script and displaying the results in a textbox in flash. It works perfectly in IE and Opera. But in Firefox and Netscape it doesn't work consistently.

In most cases it works the first time the page is loaded - the text is displayed. On refresh, the textbox comes up blank and never displays again until you clear the browser's cache. Even if the html says the page is expired and the browser settings say to update the page on each visit. It only comes back if you manually clear the cache.

On another PC using the same browsers I get other errors (loadVars is unsuccessful). It is really confusing.

The really frustrating thing is I have another app which uses sendAndLoad with virtually the same scripts and it works in all browsers and PCs.

Is there some known issue? I can't find anything anywhere.
