I then opened the file in Illustrator CS and triggered the 'outline' function from the right-click menu in order to see the path. (I am not sure why the path did not show up)
Finally, I exported this .ai as a .swf file, and tried to open it in Flash MX, but nothing came up, just an empty page.
Any help and advice on solving this problem will be very much appreciated.
The reason it didn't "show up" in Illustrator is because the raw path from PS didn't have any stroke applied. It's just a path with no width.
You can, however, create paths in Freehand which comes with the MX suite that DO import into Flash. You might be able to create whatever you're doing in Illustrator, save it as an .eps, and open it in Freehand. Probably.
This is all pretty much "working against the stream" though, if you want to build vectored art and bring it into Flash, you're best off learning Freehand and bringing it in from there.
Hi whoisgregg,
I tried the method you mentioned but the 'select all' option was not turned on, so I could not even trigger it. :(
I will be really grateful if someone can solve this problem for me. Thank you in advance.
