load external dynamic swf's

i have multiple Dynamic swf's to work properly in my root flash file.

Im about to loose my damn mind trying to get this right.

I have a flash file with buttons that call external swf's to load into a MovieClip. (no problem there)

- the external swf's are dynamic slide shows that read from an XML file and pull images from a directory. (no problem here either)

They both work fine on their own, except: the external swf's dont read the dynamic content inside the main flash file.....WHY?
