Converting .swf files to .gif

I am hoping to make something in Swish and then somehow convert the finished product to an animated GIF. Can this be done?

I was also suprised to find out that Flash will not open Swish files, only the .swf file.

If it is not possible, is there a tool that makes it quick and easy to make animated gif's? I have always used Image Ready for this but I am wondering if there is something better.

In Flash select export and then choose the file type that you wish to export as.

richardb, thanks, I don't think I tried exporting.

I just found something called Magic Swf2Gif, a program that will convert .swf to .gif, anyone try this program?

Sure did, file size ends up to be to large though even after tweaking.
