I have been asked to do a website which 'requires' a flash intro. The client would like to use some video footage on the intro that is currently on VHS video tape.
My questions are -
What is the best format to convert the video into?
How can I then import that footage into Flash?
Would it be better to import stills and then 'tween them?
Any help greatly appreciated,
Chris

Depends really on what you nrrd. I would probably go with the whole video sequence. MX imports the standard DV codecs.
Capture the video to your computer first, then import to flash. You can import DivX, but it doesnt show right in flash, but will display properly when you export. Better to import .MOV though for flash.
For my purpose, i put a video of my friend talking on my comp, then used flash to overlay a CNN look to it, with sotck ticker and everything. Looked like i was talking to him via satelite during a class presentation ;)
It just takes so long to export and import video.
