Hello WebmasterWorld; I would like everyone to know for one of the sites I work with we did a paid advertisement on Altavista (Text) 20,000 impressions or so. We paid around 800.00 - Ah-Ha came to us and said advertise with us, we will give you banner advertisement on all of our networks which includes AV. (they didnt try to take away business - just another venture) 100,000 impressions - AV, Att.net, Looksmart banner advertisement for a few hundred less. Sure the impressions will get used up quicker but the visual is out there so much more - The campaign starts soon so I will be sure to let you guys/girls know how it goes.

Without digging too deep into stats, looks like you are paying as much as $4.00 a visitor. :(

With the AV listing for 800.00 or so ya it didnt turn out that well. we tried changing descriptions and titles, etc. The ah-ha listing should get us a little better results, if it doesnt ill stick with the good old fasioned free listings and not worry about paying. Ill keep ya guys on top of this campaign.
