Do you think this is a way to weed out link lists such as buddy links and label them as link spammers?
What you suggest, is not possible for our program:
A)We use random pages, (webmaster built footers/headers assure us of that).
b)random filenames,
C)random links,
D)our links pages look no different than anyone elses resource or bookmark list.
F)we don't allow questionable sites that would be banned for bad content.
G)we aren't just a links list, we are on the road to building a mini-webmaster driven ODP
ok, ok - that may be pushing it a bit at this point, but that is where we are headed.
I just walked through quite a few of our pages on member sites, and you know what? We have some great sites in the program - a little bit of everything. After looking at our list, I'm pretty proud to be associated with some of these folks and have their link on my site(s) - their site brings alot to the program.
I've given it a great deal of thought, and there is no way that you could write a program to detect our type of exchange. If they were to detect us, they would detect every list of links on the net such as yahoo or any search engine.
The only thing that has changed? People are getting worried and/or jealous that what we are doing is working (and it is) and starting to spread bs about reciprocal programs.
