Will paying for AltaVista Inclusion affect other pages?

Sorry if this has already been covered before.

I would like to know if paying for AltaVista Inclusion program could possibly affect my pages that are already in Av's index (free submissions)?

Paying for regular indexing of the site is fine with me but under no circumstances will I risk pages that are already indexed in AltaVista.

Would anyone like to share their experience or thoughts on this matter. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

We touched on it a bit merlin. Since it is not going to help your rankings, we felt it was best to leave well enough alone.

My site was banned by AV a long time ago, for reasons unknown, but I can only guess it had to do with link farms that I no longer participate in.

Does anyone have any experience with getting pages from banned sites into the AV paid index?

merlin78,

I ran into this problem about a month ago, and I would have to warn you against this. First of all, don't count on too much traffic from AV......I went for the paid submission after I had done the free submission, and it didn't do a thing!

We got banned and re-listed after the offending "auto-submit" script was removed. Still not ranking well though, and I do not expect to for a while. Luckily we got in right before the paid submission!

oh the paid submission got us into the db, but did jack-squat after that!
