At [uk.altavista.com...] at the very bottom left-hand side there is a code ususally FO5 or F04 - does anyone know what this means?

Interesting - not present on the av.com version. I would guess it is a version number. Does the number ever change?

just looked a gain - fo1 - refreshed then f04 then f03.

From my contact (sales) it refers to the name of the server which provided the page, but she will ask the technical people.
