Hi,

When I see my competitors websites ranked in the top 10 I see that they have no text on their site. When I look at their html they have a lot of text but nothing shows up on their website. Some only have differents javascripts but still ranks well. What should I look for when looking at their html-codes. Will Altavista delete spammers and "cheaters"? Please help to know what to look for.

It sounds like they're hiding text(text that's same color as background, frames, etc). Go by the source codes, not what you see on the page.

Lately AV has been partial to pages with little content, but I would probably run it through babel fish (spanish to english translation) to make sure you're viewing what AV viewed upon idexing.

Sure, as long as they're violating AV's "standards", you can try to email AV, who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and a real person will read it. :)
