CMGI is putting AV up for sale due to low cash and stumbling stock prices. CMGI stock down 98% since january 2000.

According to DigiToday.no and The Industry Standard.

Maybe that's good. I own CMGI stock and it isn't worth much.... Maybe someone who knows something about the old company will take over.

So is this the end of AV? Will it survive or is AV next in line for the Morgue?

Hard to say at this point. On one hand, it is a dog who has seen it's day. On the other hand, there is serious infastructure and process in place that could make it very attractive. It all depends on if CMGI finds a qualified buyer at the right price.

What if we all pitched in a few bucks and made it an official WebmasterWorld search engine?

;)

..we should be able to get a bargain at this time
