AltaVista, the internet portal and search engine, has lost its top two European figureheads, Pierre Paperon and Vesey Crichton.Paperon has been president of AltaVista's European and international operations since last May and Crichton was international general manager. Crichton is believed to have taken up a new post with a web services start-up company called Rocket Logics, but Paperon's future plans are unknown.
