That's it, I'm putting my fist through the monitor and going back to using a typewriter. Explain this one to me, someone....
search for handmade soap on altavista, Check the #6 result It's a pet store website... it mentions soap once in the meta keys, none in the descrip, none in the title, once as a link in the body. I would doubt they would be cloaking for this keyword... what gives? And there's really not enough there for theme ranking that I can see... Thoughts? Opinions? Someone to fling vulgarities at AV with me?

I'd say that is partially a links boost they are getting. They also have quite a few pages (200?) in the db. I am finding that the page age factor still exists in Alta. If you pass some level of age with xyz number of pages in the database, pages from that domain get another secondary boost. All our sites with more than 200 pages in the db are ranking better than domains with less than 200 pages in the db.

Well that #6 entry is gone now.. I missed when the shake up came... grrrrr

iggy, I assume Brett did a URL search... you can type:
urlomain.com and it'll show all the pages listed for that domain.

That would be url COLON domain.com (with no spaces.. it kept kicking off the "smiley" code there)
