Seen the spam on AV searches?

A porn site has started hitting #1 on AV searches

A few people mentioned seeing a porn site (same one every time) hitting the top for the most unrelated searches, which must be to do with AV. Then I saw it for myself. I mean, try: belgian chocolate , it's #1, I tried a few german phrases, two of them had it at #1; type in: spam me , they are at #7. type in: ropey search , guess what? #1.
What's going on?
(It's with family filter on as well. I mean, ???)

Christmas #25, that is inexcusable. They should close down until it's fixed.

GACK!

I went ahead and tattled on them to the "spam reporting" part of AV.

I don't want to know what/if that has to do with Belgian Chocolate. I just don't.

I really don't know what to say about this, It almost seems like either a major flaw or fowl play on AV's part. I was doing normal upkeep for a client and just found this same site at #4 for "marriage counseling" (without the quotes)

I think they are in the top 20 for every search. I found them all over the place.

I don't know if it is any relation but I have seen other sites appear in the top position under terms totally different non-related keywords in the past few days. These sites would only appear there for a short time in the day and then disappear.

But yeah, either they have some serious bugs or someone hacked themselves into the DB.

"one particular site seems to have a morgage on the first 2 pages, I dont want to spam myself but what do you do?"

Their using multiple domains to host same/similar pages to get the multiple listings. I would drop AV an email about the spam, and then in the spare time I would try to study what the offending site is doing that allows them to get so many different domains ranked at the top.

"fowl play"? I don't think the site was about that. :)

AV is still screwed up. They've managed to filter the porn site out on my US travel term, but there are several foreign language sites returned -even with the filter set to English only. It still must be in a state of flux, because the rank and number of these sites fluctuates.
