Inktomi submissions

I see the new Oveture site match program. Question is I submitted my site two weeks ago to Inktomi PFI. Will this still be honored or?

If the reseller that you have used has forwarded the submission to Inktomi before the 1st of March, then yes your 12 month subscrition will be honoured (subject to content guidelines).

I can confirm that everyone who submitted at PrioritySubmit.com into Inktomi up until the 1st has been put through, and I don't expect it should be any different elsewhere.

Ok, well we have a problem here...because Trellian does not intend to honor my submission into the inktomi and partners index.

I submitted my url to inktomi on February 19th, 2004 in hopes to be indexed into MSN, altavista, askjeeves, etc. I was also promised a free 60 day trial indexing into Yahoo.

I have been emailing Trellian back and forth for days to let them know that my site has not been indexed into any of the inktomi partners sites as promised, especially MSN. I am however in the Yahoo index, but nowhere to be found even though I hold many top listings in Google.

I have been given the run around by Trellian. They kept telling me to type the full URL into the address bar (like I'm stupid).

Finally, yesterday they come back and say it looks as though my site has been "accepted" into the new "site match" program, so I will have a listing in Yahoo if I want to PPC, but I will not have not have listing with MSN or any of the inktomi partners.

I feel as though I have been swindled. I would think that they have to honor the original purchase agreement until the end of my 12 months.

Any ideas of who I can take this issue to?

If you paid by credit card, dispute the charge.

I have been using positiontech and today I was able to log in finally. I see all my url submissions and looks like they are still live. The question being will the ones that are ranked be outranked by the site match inclusions. I would think yahoo would want that to happen so they can cash in on the per-click charges generated by those results. Hmmm will see soon. What about MSN? Anyone heard if they will keep inktomi/site match?

Email your URL and contact details to me, and I will look into it for you.

If you have submitted to Inktomi before Mar 1 then there is no reason why your submission should not be honoured.

The only reason you would not have been accepted is if the content of the URL you have submitted violates the Inktomi content guidelines.
