A Positiontech employee told me the site is no more

In one of my daily conversations with Positiontech trying to get them to contact Inktomi to have them remove the adult filter from my website... the support person mentioned something interesting...
"The Adult Filter only applied to the Pure Search website, and Pure Search is no longer active."
I tried to go to Pure Search and its down... so I'm guessing that its down forever?
It's been obsolete for some time, so it is good to see it gone.

Agreed Steveb. Why do people still need this? If someone can explain that would be great. I cannot think of anything. Thanks

Well, for one was the only place I know of where you could easily see if Inktomi had slapped a porn tag on your website or not...

I used Pure Search to find out how many pages have been integrated into Inktomi index. "domain:blablabla". The only place where I was able to see all links.
