I've been investigating where our site is at in Inktomi lately (I searched inktomi's pure results.)
As far as I know we have never paid for inclusion of pages so i am assuming those pages that are there were found for free.
I noticed that a .net.au url is listed however our .com.au (main url) is not. (The .net.au contains links to the original .com.au site on it and is essentially identical.)
I am just wondering why the main url has not been indexed by inktomi and how i go about getting it indexed?
I feel like I am walking on eggshells and I am scared to rock the boat. Do I pay to submit the right page and risk the other (free page/s) being removed?
Does anyone have any advice to offer me? I haven't paid inktomi a great deal of attention until now and am unsure where to start.
Thanking you in advance! :)

I asked the same question, but I asked Ink. They told me that the pages that Ink had picked up were organic links {and free of charge}. That if I submit new pages to them, it would not effect the pages that were listed for free.
I submitted 10 pages and keep all of the organic pages also. The problem with organic links is that every now and then Ink will get rid of all of them and you start from scrach again. After a few weeks go by then they start picking up organic links from your site again.
At least that is what Ink told me and I didn't have any problems.
